I'm Bonnie Young, I've been an RN for about 30 years, and have been an acupuncturist since 2005. I have a graduate degree in Oriental Medicine, from Southwest Acupuncture College in New Mexico. I've had a LOT of (western allopathic) experience in many areas of healthcare, worked in many hospitals, rehab facilities, ICU, CCU, surgery..just to mention a few. I now combine my nursing knowledge with my oriental medical skills to help people get, and stay, healthy, relieve their pain, and have a much better quality of life.
I have based my practice on doing housecalls, mostly on James Island and Folly Beach here in beautiful Charleston, SC. Your treatments will usually last about 45 minutes, and are done in the quiet, calm environment of your own home, on YOUR schedule. My hours are flexible, day, evening and weekend times are available to fit in with your life! I will come to your home to do a FREE consultation, so we can get to know each other, and see how I can help you. Your first treatment is only $35 to get us started, after that, My fee for a visit on James Island or Folly Beach is $60, (Cash or check) I do have to increase my fee if I have to travel further.... An ICD9 coded receipt will be provided to file with your insurance company for reimbursement, Many companies WILL pay for treatments, check with yours to find out.
My first encounter with acupuncture was in 1989, when I had NO insurance, but Did have gallbladder attacks,
A friend told me about an acupuncturist who "did wonders " for her, so, I went! After 2 treatments, no more symptoms, AND, I still have my gallbladder. It seemed like magic, it worked so well. I do have a similar story I could tell you about personal back problems, but, you get the point, (so to speak :)
